Reminder – Forest Lakes Metropolitan District Stage II Level B Water Shortage Provisions Effective until Further Notice
As the drought continues, with low lake levels in Bristlecone Reservoir and the prospect of…
This is just a quick reminder that the Stage II Level A water restrictions put in place in June 2021 are still in effect. With the very dry and windy spring weather and the marked lack of normal snow over the winter, Bristlecone Reservoir levels have only marginally recovered – the Reservoir is currently about 4 feet below spill and the near term weather forecast provides little hope that a major pattern change to wetter weather is in our future. As a reminder, Stage II A water restrictions provide that outdoor watering is limited to three days per week as follows: residential users with even numbered addresses may only irrigate on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday; residential users with odd numbered addresses may only irrigate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; and commercial users may only irrigate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The details of the Water Shortage Rules are available on the District’s website.
The District’s landscaping contractor has not yet started irrigating common areas and will likely start at less than 3 days per week until further direction to them.
The Forest Lakes Metropolitan District Board will reassess water supply conditions at a future Board meeting if conditions change.
